About the firm

Chanda Associates, Advocates & Solicitors, is a litigation practice based in Kolkata, appearing before the Civil and Criminal Courts at Alipore, the Sessions Courts of South 24 Parganas, the Additional District and Sessions Judge at Sealdah, and the Calcutta High Court.

The firm’s practice spans matrimonial and family law, criminal defence, civil litigation, property and conveyancing, consumer disputes and commercial arbitration. It is led by Advocate Jewel Chanda, a former Judicial Officer of the West Bengal Judicial Service, who holds a postgraduate degree in Business Laws and brings to the firm’s work the perspective of one who has decided cases from the bench before arguing them at the bar.
